Wooden waterfront houses beside calm water on Koh Lanta’s east coast

Make time for Lanta Old Town

Cross to the east coast for a different side of Koh Lanta. Lanta Old Town’s wooden waterfront buildings, small shops and sea views make it a rewarding change from a day on the beach.

Add it to your wish list for a wander, a look around the shops or time by the waterfront. It is a good starting point when your group wants to see local places as well as the island’s scenery.

Head south for the National Park and lighthouse

The southern tip of Koh Lanta brings together beaches, a headland and the lighthouse at Laem Tanod. Put Mu Ko Lanta National Park on your list if coastal scenery is one of the reasons you came to the island.

Tell us whether you want a short visit or time for walking. The path towards the lighthouse involves uneven ground and a climb, so include any walking limitations when planning the stops.

Explore the west coast, then stay for sunset

Long Beach, Khlong Khong and Khlong Nin each offer another place to pause along the west coast. A sightseeing outing lets you see beyond your hotel beach without organising a separate ride for every stop.

If sunset is your priority, say so at the start. We can discuss a route that works towards a west-coast finish rather than leaving it as an extra stop at the end.

Prefer to explore on your own schedule? See our car rental and scooter rental options.

Your stops, your group, a plan to review

Share your date, number of people, pickup point, time available and two or three places you most want to see. We will discuss a practical route and vehicle for the outing.

Car or tuk-tuk is part of that choice: consider the distance, group size and how you prefer to travel. Mention young children, mobility needs or luggage so these can be included in the planning.

Your quote will set out the proposed stops, timing, waiting arrangements, price and how any entrance fees are handled. If you simply need a ride to one destination, start with our Koh Lanta taxi service.

Sightseeing tours: your questions answered

What can we visit on a Koh Lanta sightseeing tour?

Lanta Old Town, west-coast beaches and Mu Ko Lanta National Park are useful starting points. Choose your priorities and tell us how much time you have so we can discuss a realistic route.

Can we choose our own stops?

Yes, start the enquiry with the places you would most like to visit. The proposed route and timing will be agreed as part of the booking.

Should we choose a car or tuk-tuk?

That depends on your route, group and preferred travel style. A tuk-tuk offers an open-air ride; a car is another option for an outing with more driving. Send your plans and we can discuss a suitable choice.

How much does a sightseeing tour cost?

The price depends on the route, vehicle, group and time required. Send those details for a quote covering the proposed outing.

Will the driver wait while we visit each stop?

Include how much time you want at your main stops. Waiting arrangements and the length of the outing will be set out with the route before you book.

Can the tour finish with a sunset stop?

A west-coast sunset is a good idea to build into the enquiry. Share your date and other priorities so the timing can be planned around it.

Is sightseeing suitable for people who prefer less walking?

An outing can focus on places to pause and look around, with walking needs discussed in advance. Mention mobility limitations, particularly if the National Park or lighthouse is on your wish list.
